Gillam, MB

Gillam is a hub of Manitoba Hydro activity, surrounded by thousands of lakes and streams and endless opportunities for trophy fishing. It has a number of events throughout the year, like its Winter Carnival that coincides with the Hudson Bay Quest Dog Sled race.

Hunters, fishers, and outdoor enthusiasts can find many attractions to suit their needs as they tour the rugged boreal forests surrounding the town. Stephens Lake has a marina for boating, and a campground to park your camper.

Calm Air is a core Platinum Sponsor to Gillam's Hudson Bay Quest dog sled race, providing freight and transportation for the race. In 2020, Calm Air helped Adam Bighill of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers bring the Grey Cup to Gillam.

Gillam Recreation Centre – This recreation house houses a movie theater, wellness center, skating and curling rinks, as well as a gymnasium and library.

Hudson Bay Quest – The Hudson Bay Quest is a dog sled race from Churchill to Gillam in March. It's a tough test through the wilderness that ends in a well-deserved banquet in Gillam at the end.
