Thompson, MB
The largest city in Manitoba’s North, Thompson’s roots begin in the territory of the Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation, and later as an important outpost in the fur trade. Thompson is full of history of Indigenous culture and its transition to a mining community in the 1950s.
Thompson is a year-round destination these days. There are plenty of opportunities in summer to catch trophy-sized fish or get in nine holes on the golf course. Winter means you can snowmobile along an extensive network of trails, or head to the park for downhill skiing and snowboarding.
Calm Air partners with many local organizations in Thompson, including the City of Thompson itself, to bring visitors to and from the "Hub of the North."
