The hockey spirit was high in Baker Lake, NU on January 26 and 27, 2018, as Calm Air proudly sponsored a NHL Alumni Hockey camp, hosted by Wayne and David Babych, for over 100 kids.
Our team travelled to Baker Lake, NU with Wayne earlier this fall to measure the children in need of hockey equipment that was generously donated and/or discounted by Sports Central, Alberta, Play it Again Sports Winnipeg, Harv-AL Sportwear Ltd., and Royal Sports.
The equipment arrived in the Calm Air hangar in January and our team volunteered many hours sorting and arranging full gear for each child who had been measured.
The 2 day camp was a complete success and our team had a fantastic time being part of such a memorable and impactful event in the community. Here are a few pictures captured of the event:

Next year, Calm Air will be sponsoring another hockey camp with the Babych brothers in Naujaat, NU. Details to come closer to 2019.
